Children's Medical Escort Program

AAI Members PROTECT children traveling via our Children's Escort Program - Members escort children requiring life-altering/saving medical treatment to/from the U.S. (10-15/month). AAI escorted 200 Ukrainian orphans this past summer of 2012.

In July AAI volunteers coordinated escorts for 265 orphans – 200 from Latvia and Ukraine and 65 from China, in the largest orphan airlift we have ever attempted.  Many thanks to Margaret Whitehead, Wayne Lee and Connie Lowry for their amazing efforts and to the dozens of selfless volunteers.

Ecuador Trip

It never ceases to amaze me what a difference two weeks can make – especially when you have a Dream Team of Volunteers! Let me introduce them to you.

Jamaica Trip

Thank you to volunteers who helped re-paint the Melody House for Girls near Montego Bay, Jamaica. This trip was led by Roslyn Parker and her team "traveled to do good" on this rewarding journey to brighten and re-paint the facility.

Thousands of Teddy Bears land in Oklahoma

It all started when my granddaughter, Hannah Hoobyar (15), called me to deliver a few teddy bears to the families in Oklahoma to show how much she cared about their situation after the tornado destruction.

Mission to Philippines

Thanks to thank Cheryl Robinson for leading the mission to Philippines. She and her amazing team which includes Angeline Tran, Nancy B., Traci Kelly, and Ann Hanson.

Mission to Colombia

This mission took place on April 21-24, 2013. Alex Restrepo, mission coordinator, and his team went to paint an orphanage in Bogota, Colombia which is a home to 75 children. The team donated painting materials, soccer uniforms, and most importantly their time and love.

Education and Advocacy - Human Trafficking

Members ADVOCATE on Child Protection -  by providing volunteer trainings at airports in the US and around the world  to educate those in the travel industry on the issue of child and human trafficking and how they can combat it by reporting tips to the proper authorities
.

Support our work to raise awareness in the Travel Industry:

Travel industry comes on Board with Trafficking Awareness

Representatives from American, Delta, Silver, United, and USAIR Airlines, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants and Hilton Hotels joined an event at Embassy in Ukraine in April along with Congressman Smith and Ambassador Motsyk and reps from Homeland Security, Customs Border Protection and the Dept of Transportation.

Ukraine is Chair of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and combating Human Trafficking is the priority for 2013. Thanks to the leadership of Congressman Chris Smith, Airline Ambassadors provided a training for flight crew in Ukraine on June 10  - the first of its kind in Europe and at the meeting of the OSCE encouraged all 57 nations to do the same
